Regular City Council Meetings are scheduled for the 1st and 3rd Monday of each month at 5:00PM.
All meetings are held at South Beloit City Hall, 519 Blackhawk Blvd. in the City Council Chambers. The public is welcome to attend.

All special City Council Meetings, Council Committee Meetings, and Council Advisory Meetings will be held with at least a 48 hour notice.

Little Builders Club for 6 and under @ South Beloit Library

Little Builders Club is for those under 6 years of age.  It will be held the first Monday of each month at 6 pm. Builders will be using Duplo blocks and Mega block- style blocks for their constructions. This is a free-style play time.

Take and Make Tuesdays

Take and Make Tuesday – During the month of February stop in and pick up supplies and directions for these cute book page flowers! Supplies will be available all day on Tuesdays. All you will need to complete the project at home is a hot glue gun and a jar or vase for your completed flowers.

What’s Poppin’ Program with Welty Environmental @ Nature at the Confluence

Pop on out to the Nature at the Confluence to explore the history of popcorn. We will discover how and what makes popcorn pop. Taste various popcorn flavors, play popcorn games, and make a popcorn craft!

All ages welcome.

Dark Fantasy BackgroundAttention Sci-Fi / Fantasy Fans:  These will be held the second Saturday of each month, from 9 a.m. for youth  grades 9 through adults.

These will be held at our library for youth  grades 9 through adults.  Have fun talking about science fiction and fantasy topics in literature, media, gaming and the arts.  The club will select a book each month to read and then discuss the following month.  Feb. 9 we will discuss The Prey of Gods  by Nicky Drayden.

If you enjoy cycling or running you have most likely heard of Strava, a free app for tracking fitness activities.

Would you like to know more about some of the features, functionality and fun you can have with the application?

In this free program we’ll explore how you can collect, analyze, track and if you’re interested, share your fitness data with family and friends. We’ll look at some of the free Strava features and the Training, Safety, and Analysis packs where you can set goals and training plans, share live location details with safety contacts, or dig deep into data collected from your GPS, power and heart rate monitors.

Sorry folks, we have to cancel due to road conditions and conditions in our parking lot. But, get out and enjoy the beautiful snow today! Have an adventure in your neck of the woods!

Help us celebrate and kick off our 2019 Adventures In The 100 Acres Wood programs that are inspired by Winnie the Pooh stories. Author A.A. Milne brought the adorable, honey-loving bear to life in his stories which also featured his son, Christopher Robin. National Winnie the Pooh Day commemorates Milne’s birthday on January 18, 1882.

We’re offering fun programs all year with our Nature Kids Adventures In The 100 Acre Woods. Click here to see them all, or sign up below to get updates on new programs when we add them!

  • Story time, Snack, Nature Craft, Winter Walk About (we’ll be walking outside at the end, so dress appropriately)
  • Recommended for ages 4-7. Siblings are welcome.
  • Must be accompanied by an adult. This is not a drop off program, adult must stay with the kids.
