BOAT PERMITS

A Boat Permit is required to fish in Lake Victoria. The yearly fee is $10.00.
You must be a resident of South Beloit. The boat (not to exceed 17 ft) must be licensed in the State of Illinois to the resident. No Gasoline motors are allowed. A driver's license is required along with your State issued license for the boat.

FENCES

Fences are permitted without a permit so long as you are in compliance with the ordinance. The ordinance allows a 6 ft fence from the rear corner of your home encompassing the rear yard installed on the property line. From the rear corner of the home you are allowed to install a 3 ft. fence on the property line to within 18 inches of the sidewalk/property line. A variance procedure is in place if compliance is not met.

METAL DETECTOR PERMITS

Metal Detector Permits are required. You must register your metal detector(s) if you use the device on public property. The yearly permit runs January - December, and is renewable every year. There is no charge for the permit.

RUMMAGE SALE PERMITS

Rummage sale permits are required. You are allowed to have 3 rummage/garage sales per year at 45 day intervals. There is no charge for the permit.

DOG/BIKE LICENSES

Dog and Bike Licenses are required. $2.00 for dogs. $1.00 for bicycles
